The current highlight in the Cannondale programme is the Super Six Evo Nano road bike frame, which, with a set weight of 1,129 grams, is the lightest series-produced frame ever.

As the lightest series-produced frame, the Super Six Evo Nano (TOUR-Test 11/2012 ->) is by far the better-known model. However, the "normal" Super Six Evo is much more important for Cannondale in terms of unit sales. Formally identical to the Nano, the frame of the test bike impresses with consistently solid measurements. The 1,500 gram set weight including fork and steering bearings is fine, the riding stability is beyond any doubt and the good damping of the Nano has been carried over without any noticeable losses. Despite a few compromises dictated by the price - namely the overly wide handlebars and the somewhat simple wheels at this price level - the riding experience leaves little to be desired. Brakes and gears fulfil the highest demands; the latter especially because the simple BB30 carbon crankset has been tuned with original chainrings from SRAM's Red groupset. The riding position is stretched out for racing and the steering behaviour is agile.

* The frame set accounts for 40 per cent of the overall score and the features for 60 per cent. These ratings include individual grades, which we have only printed in part for reasons of space. The grades are calculated up to the final grade with all decimal places; however, for the sake of clarity, all grades are given with rounded decimal places.
** Tested frame size greased.
*** Stack/reach: projected vertical/horizontal measurement from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the headset; STR (stack to reach): Values between 1.45 and 1.55 indicate a sporty seating position, values below that are race-like, above that comfortable.
**** Adjusted weight for frame size 57 cm and fork steerer length 225 mm.
