Thanks to a technically very good frame, the "Night Hawk 1" rides better than the favourable components initially suggest. The well-made, voluminous carbon frame is the lightest in the test and wins the frame classification, with press-fit bearings and a tapered head tube, it has modern attributes. In stark contrast to this is the equipment: Shimano's "WH-R500" wheels and the heavy FSA components are among the simplest that the road bike component market has to offer. Conti's "Ultra Sport" tyres roll noticeably heavier than more expensive models and make louder noises than the chain when riding. On the other hand, the "105" brakes and cranks as well as a branded saddle from Fizik have not been spared. In short: a bike with great tuning potential. Unfortunately, the guarantee does not extend beyond the statutory warranty.
