The "Desert Falcon" scores with a complete Ultegra triple groupset, which is unusual in this price range. The sturdy aluminium frame with its fully polished weld seams is neatly finished, but adds a good 1,800 grams to the bike's high overall weight. A now rare detail is the chain holder on the inside of the right seat stay, which is very helpful when mounting the rear wheel. Some compromises have to be made with the wheels. Michelin clincher tyres on Shimano's "WH-RS10" wheels don't add much shine and weigh a lot. The many available sizes are a plus, but the two-year warranty is a drawback.
Conclusion: Sporty racer with a rather heavy but well-made frame; decent equipment
