The cheapest bike in the test convinces with high-quality equipment. A complete Ultegra groupset is not a matter of course, even with the competition, some of which are considerably more expensive. The transmission with the now rare triple crankset offers a wide, finely graduated gear range. Solid Aksium wheels with Sch walbe's top Ultremo ZX tyres are generally a good choice, but in this specific case they are the weak point of the bike. Manufacturing tolerances in the rim and tyres add up to one millimetre of radial runout on the rear wheel, which causes noticeable bumps in the suspension. The aluminium frame is rather simple, heavy, but mega-stiff, which also qualifies it for heavy riders.
