BMC Roadracer SL01
Stable, quite heavy individualist with great details, but weaknesses in the equipment.

High weight, heavy wheels and simple tyres prevent the BMC racer from achieving a better score. Nevertheless, the bike impressed in the riding test with high steering precision and good damping on the saddle, for which the aerodynamic carbon seatpost with internal cone clamp is primarily responsible. The frame, which is made of aluminium except for the carbon seat stays, shines with top workmanship and eye-catching details such as cables routed inside the frame and the brand-typical support between the top tube and seat tube. The saddle and handlebars are colour-coordinated with the paintwork and contribute to the overall classy appearance. As far as criticism of the wheels is concerned, BMC also offers higher-quality alternatives as part of its modular programme for an additional charge.
