The red "Promachine SLC01" is a fresh and unique design. The cross-section of the top tube resembles the shape of a T-beam, in which the brake cable is elegantly routed. The down tube, in which the gear cables run, is extremely ovalised, the truss-like seat tube node with integrated seat post clamp and the angular chainstays in contrast to the filigree Easton "EC 90 SL-X" fork round off the unique appearance. The elaborate frame construction has the lowest riding stability in the test. In combination with the Easton fork, which lacks lateral and braking stiffness and tends to stutter under hard braking manoeuvres, the BMC is recommended more for light mountain bikers. On the plus side, the fork and saddle offer noticeable damping comfort.
