Avant-garde, well thought-out, individual. The BMC GranFondo is characterised by super cushioning thanks to wide tyres and the extra-strong flexing support.

The GranFondo GF01, which is also available as a cheaper aluminium version (TOUR 12/2012->) is one of the most innovative racing bikes of recent years. The Swiss manufacturer has combined all the tricks of the trade to increase suspension comfort. An integral part of the bike are 28 millimetre wide Conti tyres, which roll on extra-wide rims and contribute significantly to suspension comfort thanks to their volume. The effect is enhanced by a particularly elastic seat post, which gives the bike one of the best comfort values ever measured by TOUR. The equipment with Ultegra Di2 is upper middle class, functionally top. The long wheelbase makes the bike a straight-line runner, ideal for brevets and other long-distance rides. The clearance in the fork and frame has been adapted to the wide tyres and there is even room for mudguards.
