Some veteran mountain bikers may still be familiar with the Bike-tech brand, which is now the house brand of the Rhineland bike dealer Hergarden. The carbon frame of the "BT 940 Carbon" is also sold in identical form under numerous other brand names. But that doesn't make it a bad choice - on the contrary: in the test laboratory, the frame and fork impressed with impressive stiffness values at a reasonable weight. In combination with the all-round high-quality equipment, the result is an attractive overall package that can only be criticised for its somewhat uninspired frame design. In the riding test, the bike impressed with its stoic smoothness, neutral steering behaviour and moderately sporty riding position. Bike-tech bikes are sold through the Hergarden shop in Düren and by mail order.
