Sober, relatively heavy aluminium racer; very stable, with a comfortable riding position

With the Prime 6.4, the Hamburg-based brand is launching a heavy, functionally reliable racer. The mega-stiff aluminium frame alone contributes a good two kilos - without the fork - to the total weight of 9.4 kilos. But there is nothing more to criticise about the bike. The fairly wide saddle is comfortable and the frame geometry supports a relatively upright riding position. The 105 gears from Shimano harmonise well with the FSA crankset, which, however, looks less valuable than the 105. 25 millimetre wide Durano S tyres from Schwalbe roll easily and provide noticeable cushioning thanks to their volume. The long wheelbase in combination with the high riding stability guarantees reassuring directional stability.
