At more than 1,000 grams, the frame is significantly heavier than usual in this price class. However, thanks to its lightweight equipment, Specialized manages to largely compensate for the weight handicap compared to the competition. In any case, other factors are more important for the practical impression. In addition to the extreme riding stability of the S-Works Tarmac, it is above all the in-house tyres with cotton carcass that characterise the riding experience. Subjectively, no tyre rolled more easily. The cornering grip of the supple tyres is also phenomenal, and they also seem to absorb vibrations better than other rubber. Last but not least, the comfortable saddle and the easy-to-grip handlebars make this bike particularly easy to ride.
CONCLUSION Extremely stable, racing geometry, competition tyre with extreme grip. Good add-on parts. Heavy frame set, expensive
