Two product ranges to meet different needs

With the new Smart Light Series, Sigma is fundamentally restructuring its lighting range. The lighting manufacturer is launching a major lighting offensive, introducing new Aura front lights, Hiro rear lights and perfectly coordinated lighting sets.

The new Core Series is aimed at everyday cyclists, commuters and touring cyclists who are looking for straightforward and reliable lighting. The Link Series adds connected features such as app control, device pairing, high beam and radar technology to the concept. The aim of both ranges remains the same: greater visibility, greater safety and the simplest possible operation.

The integration of safety and electronic systems is now unstoppable, even in cycling. Sigma, too, is responding to this trend with its Smart Light Series. Whilst many manufacturers are simply increasing light output, Sigma is thinking on a larger scale: Automatic brightness control, brake light functions, radar technology and app connectivity create an ecosystem that goes far beyond traditional cycle lighting. In particular, the combination of high beam, app control and radar makes the new Link Series an interesting alternative for commuters, road cyclists, gravel bikers and e-bike users – provided the smart features are genuinely intuitive to use and allow the rider to focus more on the route or the traffic, rather than being overwhelmed by the sheer number of options.

AURA 120 LINK: A smart mid-range model with automatic light control

The flagship model of the new Link Series is the AURA 120 LINK. Sigma promises a particularly well-balanced beam pattern with wide illumination at close range and a long-range beam. This is intended to make the light suitable for both the daily commute and sporting rides.

A built-in light sensor enables a Auto mode, which automatically adjusts the light output to suit the ambient conditions. This eliminates the need to switch manually between different light settings, allowing you to concentrate entirely on driving.

AURA 170 HB LINK: High beam for dark stretches of road

Sigma is positioning the AURA 170 HB LINK. It is designed for cyclists who regularly ride on unlit roads, forest tracks or long commutes. The standout feature is a switchable High beam, which is activated via a separate handlebar-mounted remote control.

In high-beam mode, up to 170 lux is available, which is designed to significantly extend the field of vision. Like all Link models, the AURA 170 HB LINK can also be paired with compatible Sigma rear lights and radar systems.

Sigma The Ride App becomes the control centre

With version 3.1, Sigma has fully integrated its new lighting system into the Sigma Ride app. Users can check battery levels, adjust lighting modes, carry out firmware updates, and pair and control front and rear lights. As a result, the app is increasingly becoming the central hub for the entire lighting system.

New Core range for everyday use and commuting

Alongside its connected models, Sigma is presenting the AURA 70 and AURA 90 Two new lights for everyday use. The AURA 70 offers 70 lux and a runtime of up to 28 hours. The AURA 90 increases the light output to 90 lux, making it suitable for longer rides or cycling on darker routes. Both models feature USB-C charging ports and an auto mode with a brightness sensor.

New HIRO rear lights with brake lights

The range is also being completely revamped at the rear. The new HIRO 30 takes over the role of the previous Infinity rear light and focuses on long battery life and high visibility. The new one looks particularly interesting HIRO 50. It features:

• automatic brake lights
• Emergency brake light function
• integrated delay detection

If sudden braking is detected, the light automatically activates a rapidly flashing warning signal. The HIRO 50 LINK supplements these functions with app connectivity and system integration.

Radar becomes part of the lighting system

One of the most exciting aspects of the new platform is the integration of the already familiar RECO LINK Radar Tail Lights. When used in conjunction with the new Link lights, the system detects approaching vehicles and sends warnings to compatible cycle computers or the Sigma Ride app. The smartphone acts as a digital rear-view mirror. Sigma is thus following a trend that has so far been dominated primarily by Garmin and is now becoming increasingly prevalent in everyday life as well as on road bikes.

Alongside its lighting range, Sigma is launching several new mounting solutions:
