Modern wheels make racing bikes fast in two ways: they are aerodynamically advantageous, but with their generous width they also bring tyres into better shape: More speed goes hand in hand with more comfort. And because the disc takes care of the braking, you no longer have to worry about smoking cork pads and soft brake track surfaces. It has never made more sense to roll on carbon.
