Even with the cassette fitted, it can be changed in a matter of seconds. This means that the wheels can not only be adapted to different shifting systems, but also the transmission ratio of the drive to the respective terrain - it couldn't be easier. Even maintenance and cleaning of the rear hub is made easier, as the inner workings are accessible without tools. Our tested "Tension" model offers good all-round characteristics and a fair price-performance ratio.
The 26 millimetre high aluminium rims with 20 bladed spokes at the front and 24 at the rear look modern, and at 1,777 grams they reach the level of Mavic's "Ksyrium Elite". The stiffness at the front (66 N/mm) and rear (44 N/mm) is good and also unproblematic for heavier riders.
Our test wheelset is part of a "Limited Edition": The first 30 wheelsets in 2010 will be supplied by the German importer Clemenzo with lightweight titanium quick-releases from PMP.
