In a test conducted by Newmen itself, the Evolution SLR25, Evolution SLR 32 and Advanced SLR25 tyres showed safety risks. "Due to unfavourable tyre rim tolerances and / or mounting errors of the tyres, the tyre can suddenly jump off with sudden loss of air (...)", according to the manufacturer.
Owners of the wheels or Cube models fitted with Newmen wheels can contact their specialist dealer. The affected rims will then be replaced from the beginning of June.
The recall affects the following Cube road bike models with Newmen wheels that have been delivered since 23 May 2017.
