The basic principle: a lightweight carbon casing covers the supporting aluminium rim. This casing not only makes the wheels measurably faster in the wind, it also produces a sporty sound. Once you get used to it, you hardly want to miss this sound backdrop and use the elegant wheels during training - because it's fun. The Cosmic Carbone Premium SL from 2008 clocked up around 12,500 test kilometres, which were always preferred over significantly lighter alternatives in competitions due to their aerodynamics, as they are also stiff and decelerate well. 1,874 grams for the set is no lightweight construction, but in flat to undulating terrain it is not a decisive disadvantage. The wheels coped with use on dirty winter roads without complaint, maintenance was not necessary, only minor wear is visible on the brake track, the rear wheel has a small bump (which can be centred). The current version with steel spokes has become somewhat lighter and is one of the most attractive aero wheels in terms of price: Starting at 800 euros, it is possible to get into sound and riding pleasure.
