Trek presents its first E-gravel bike called Checkpoint+ SL. The new model is based on the well-known Checkpoint gravel bike, but integrates the HPR60 drive from TQ

The new TQ HPR60 motor is lighter and quieter than the previous model and provides both discreet and powerful support for tackling deep terrain, steep hills and headwinds away from the tarmac. US bike manufacturer Trek from Wisconsin certifies that the 360 Wh battery has a range of up to 80 kilometres, depending on the conditions - supplemented by the option of a range extender for even more altitude and kilometres.

Versatile and comfortable

Overall, the Checkpoint+ presents itself as a versatile gravel bike that feels particularly at home on rough terrain and adventure tours. The frame and suspension fork provide space for tyres up to 50 millimetres wide; the option of fitting a dropper post further expands the off-road capabilities. The IsoSpeed technology familiar from the motorless Checkpoint - an articulation system on the rear triangle - smoothes out bumpy gravel roads; the 500 series OCLV carbon frame keeps the bike weight in check and the geometry provides a comfortable riding position suitable for long distances. Numerous mounting options for bags and pannier racks also make the bike fit for extended bikepacking trips.

Top version with suspension fork

Gravel bikers who have even more extensive off-road ambitions can consider the Checkpoint+ SL 7 AXS model variant (€7,499): in addition to the SRAM Force components, it is equipped with a 40 mm RockShox Rudy suspension fork. Riders who prefer the efficiency of a rigid fork can opt for the Checkpoint+ SL 5 (Shimano GRX, €4,999) or 6 AXS (SRAM Rival, €5,999).
