After the Price cracker with aluminium frame and one noble titanium version the Bonn-based direct distributor is launching its Regard gravel bike in a carbon version. The frame offers fully integrated cable routing as well as attachment points for bags and tools. With a UDH derailleur hanger, it is technically up to date, but the bike is apparently only compatible with single drivetrains. There is no official information on the maximum tyre width, but according to the pictures, it is unlikely to fit much more than the 45 series tyres. The permissible total weight is 115 kg.
Radon even equips all Regard CF models with a one-piece carbon cockpit. The unit consisting of stem and handlebar routes all the cables inside. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the exact dimensions, but judging by the pictures, the handlebars are quite wide and are clearly flared at the bar ends. The stem appears to be relatively short, which speaks in favour of a comfortable, upright riding position. The carbon seatpost is classically round with a diameter of 27.2 mm.
All equipment variants use a single chainring configuration; there does not even appear to be a mounting option for a front derailleur. A 40-tooth chainring is usually used at the front, only the top model has a 42-tooth ring.
The Regard 7.0 uses Shimano GRX components with a 12-speed cassette from 10 to 51 teeth. The Regard 8.0 relies on SRAM Rival E1 XPLR AXS with electronic wireless shifting and a 13-speed cassette from 10 to 46 teeth. The Regard 9.0 uses Shimano GRX Di2. The electronic shifting system moves a 12-speed Shimano XT rear derailleur over the 10-51 cassette.
The top model Regard 10.0 uses SRAM Force E1 XPLR AXS with an integrated power meter in the crank. The 42-tooth chainring works with a 13-speed Force cassette from 10 to 46 teeth.
The Regard CF 7.0 forms the entry-level model for 2599 euros. It comes with Newmen Evolution aluminium wheels and Continental Terra Speed tyres in 28 inch with a width of 45 mm. From the Regard 8.0 upwards, carbon wheels and Schwalbe tyres are used. The top model Regard 10.0 is said to weigh less than eight kilograms and can be ordered for 4499 euros. All models are available in frame sizes XS, S, M, L and XL.
