Giant presents two platforms: the Revolt Advanced Pro and the Revolt Advanced. Both variants come with revised framesets that are characterised by system integration and a "boot" in the down tube. The bike giant from Taiwan enlisted the expertise of two gravel pros for the development: Cole Paton (USA) and Brendan Johnston (Australia), both top riders in the Life Time Grand Prix series, trained and rode prototype models at racing events this year. The top model is the Giant Revolt Advanced Pro 0.
With a quick and easy adjustment option, the Revolt can be adapted to different conditions and riding styles. As with its predecessor, the wheelbase can be changed using a flip-chip dropout on the rear wheel, allowing wider tyres to be used. A shorter wheelbase promises more agile handling, while the "long version" of the Giant should glide along as if on rails. Thanks to the greater tyre clearance at the rear wheel (up to 53 millimetres), large-volume tyres can be selected for more traction.
Lowered seat stays are designed to minimise vibrations without compromising stiffness when cornering or sprinting. Each model is also equipped with carbon handlebars and a flattened carbon seatpost. According to Giant, standard round seat posts or dropper posts also fit in the frame.
Internally routed cables give the bike a tidy look and are designed to improve aerodynamics. The storage compartment in the down tube provides space for tools, snacks and other important items. Bags or mudguards can also be attached to the frameset.
The new Revolt Advanced gravel bike series will be presented at this year's Eurobike. Prices range from 2499 euros to 6499 euros:
