With the new Pinarello Grevil F gravel bike, the Italians have created an off-road counterpart to the successful Dogma F road racer. The Grevil F offers a slightly more comfortable riding position, but just like the well-known professional racing bike, it has aerodynamic tube shapes and integrated cables, which should make it easier to load bags.
With the Grevil F, Pinarello has managed to combine a striking design with high functionality. The aerodynamic frame shape and the asymmetrical rear triangle stand out.
For the tyres, the manufacturer recommends an incredible range of widths from 25 to 50 millimetres; with 27.5-inch wheels, you can even ride MTB tyres up to 2.1 inches wide. There is only one equipment variant with Campagnolo Ekar, which costs 6120 euros.
T700 carbon fibres from Toray are used for the Grevil F. Different types of high modulus and high strength fibres are combined to achieve the best possible balance between stiffness and vibration reduction.
With such a high-quality bike as the Pinarello Grevil F, you would perhaps expect the manufacturer to also offer the frameset for sale and leave the equipment to the customer. However, in times of uncertain supply chains, many bike manufacturers prefer to offer complete bikes instead of just the frame - as is the case with the Grevil F. The advantage is that a ready-to-use gravel bike is available from day one and the end consumer does not have to worry about any supply bottlenecks for the equipment.
