After the Nuroad C:62 last year, Cube is also sending new aluminium versions off-road for 2026. The new gravel bike is based on the carbon models and is available in three equipment variants from €1499.

The update of the Nuroad HPA, an acronym for High Performance Aluminium, extends to the Race and Race FE model versions. The SLX version is completely new to the range and will be the top model with an aluminium frame in future. All other models named One/One FE, Pro/Pro FE and EX remain unchanged. Visually, the off-road newcomers are inspired by the Nuroad C:62, but only at second glance do they reveal themselves to be models with a durable aluminium frame.

Cube Nuroad HPA: The most important facts

  • Weight of complete wheel: from 10.3 kilogrammes
  • Stack/Reach/STR: 589/390 millimetres/1.51 (size M)
  • Max. tyre clearance: 53 millimetres
  • Frame sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL
  • Prices: from 1499 Euro

In contrast to the cheaper HPA versions, the weld seams are cleanly ground. The brake and gear cables are partially integrated and are routed into the head tube under the stem; the cables are still exposed on the old frameset. Other new features include the UDH standard and additional threaded eyelets for luggage. As with the Agree and Attain, a bag can be attached in the rear frame triangle. The mounting points for fixed mudguards or the retrofit option for a lighting system with integrated cable duct further extend the range of applications.

Overall, the Nuroad HPA is a loyal and uncomplicated companion for off-road riding. As the handlebars are positioned far above the front wheel, you sit more upright in the saddle than on the Nuroad C:62. A long wheelbase and relatively slack steering angle increase riding stability, which should also be helped by the 45 millimetre wide standard Schwalbe tyres. According to Cube, the frame set allows for up to 53 millimetre tyres for rides in remote areas.

And what does the new Nuroad HPA weigh? For the lightest SLX version, the specialist retail brand states a complete bike weight of 10.3 kilograms. Thanks to lightweight add-on parts such as carbon handlebars and seat post, the top-of-the-range aluminium model should save exactly 1000 grams compared to the basic One version. Compared to the heaviest model with a carbon frame, the manufacturer claims an increase of 900 grams.
