"Palta" is the name of Basso's first gravel bike, which is intended to be much more than just a gravel bike. The bike is available in two equipment variants, both with 1x11 drivetrains.

The Palta is the first gravel bike from the northern Italian racing bike manufacturer - and yet it is not. For Basso, the English term "gravel" does not adequately describe what can be done with the bike. Palta means mud or dirt in the Veneto dialect and describes the possibilities of the bike much more accurately. The Palta is designed to push boundaries and prove itself both on and off the tarmac.

In addition to the tyre clearance of 42 millimetres, the carbon frame has a special elastomer insert in the seat post clamping area, which is designed to dampen vibrations. The fork has also been designed for particularly high suspension comfort. The frame has seven threaded holes that can be used to attach up to three bottle cages in different configurations. Similar to the road models "Diamante SV" and "Diamante", the handlebar height can be adjusted to different position preferences by means of an integrated 20 millimetre high attachment on the head tube. A mudguard set to match the bike is available separately.

The "Basso Palta" is available in two colour variants: "Esmerald Green" and "Space Blue" with red applications.

The Palta is available in four sizes and two equipment variants with SRAM Force CX1 or SRAM Rival CX1 groupset, each with 1x11 drivetrain. There is no option to fit a second chainring and a front derailleur. Prices start at €3,981 with Force CX1 or €3,396 with Rival CX1. The frame set costs 2,107 euros.
