More and more all-road bikes are coming onto the market. TOUR presents seven of the new all-rounders. Here: the Koga Colmaro Allroad.

The Colmaro Allroad was already a purist and sporty gravel bike in the 2017 TOUR test. Six years later, the bike has only changed in details, including a slightly longer wheelbase and a seatpost clamp elegantly integrated into the top tube. What has remained is the beautifully designed, classic-looking aluminium frame - and with it the agile steering characteristics reminiscent of a cyclocross bike. With the long stem and the handlebars pulled far forwards, you sit more sportily than you should on the frame. The maximum tyre clearance of 35 millimetres, which is already exhausted by the treadless standard tyres, speaks in favour of use on rather firm terrain.

With this character, the Koga would be the ideal bike for road cyclists who occasionally want to turn off into the forest - if it weren't for the gears. The fact that the eleven-speed gearbox with an 11-42 cassette does not offer a reduction in the lowest gear is bearable for reasonably trained riders. However, the rather large jumps between the eleven gears could annoy riders who are used to the finely graduated gearing of a road bike. The SRAM shifter works simply and without complaint, but seems anachronistic in view of the competition.
