The vibrant student city of Marburg is the starting point for wonderful tours between the rivers Eder and Ohm. GPS data for two tours is available here, the full story in TOUR 4/2020

Tour 1 (108 kilometres, 1,300 metres in altitude, max. 10 % gradient)
Into the Eder valley
After the quiet Eder valley, a 6.5-kilometre-long, pleasant climb begins from Schwarzenau up to an altitude of 660 metres. Later, meadow paths between Eifa and Treisbach await: narrow, lonely and with great views.

Tour 2 (84 kilometres, 1,040 metres in altitude, max. 16 % gradient)
Ebsdorfergrund and Amoeneburg
To the south-east of Marburg, tranquil landscapes await - albeit with more settlements than on Tour 1 and much more beautiful places - and the up to 16 per cent steep climb up to Amöneburg, a picturesque little town on the summit of a small cone. This is followed by villages that pay homage to the Hessian "sch", such as Rauischholzhausen and Moischt.
