Typical Siegerland: constant ups and downs between forests and meadows
The southernmost tip of Westphalia, the Siegerland, is a densely wooded, mountainous cycling region - and a stage for heroes.

Our short trip presents two great routes in Siegerland: Firstly, the classic road bike tour through South Westphalia, a climb with many short and one long ascent up to the Lützel ski resort. The visual highlight: the ride through the dense forest of "Kleintirol" along the former railway line between the half-timbered town of Freudenberg and Römershagen.

The second loop is almost a three-country tour: the loop through southern Siegerland leads from North Rhine-Westphalia to Rhineland-Palatinate and just past the Hessian state border back to Siegen. Between Mausbach and Wissen, by the way, it runs as if by itself: for 25 kilometres, the route is steadily downhill.
