MYVELO is a young, up-and-coming company based in Oberkirch in the Black Forest, around 15 kilometres north-east of Offenburg. The founders of the bicycle manufacturer are Vincent Augustin and Fabian Huber, close friends since childhood and cycling enthusiasts. As teenagers, they dreamed of emulating Jan Ullrich and winning the yellow jersey in the Tour de France; as adults, they focussed on what was possible for them in the cycling world and founded the brand MYVELO.

Young brand, impressive model range

The broad product range from racing bikes, gravel bikes and mountain bikes to e-trekking bikes and e-folding bikes is remarkable. Around 15 bike enthusiasts now work for the company, which offers around 20 different models in these categories. It is important to the MYVELO makers to be in control of every step from the idea for a bike to the finished product: From research and development to design and assembly, everything takes place in Oberkirch.

Their unbroken enthusiasm for cycling and their own history has now motivated the MYVELO makers to support young and aspiring cyclists - this has now resulted in the MYVELO Pro Cycling Team has emerged. As a UCI Continental Team, the squad of ambitious young racers set out to conquer the world's race tracks.

Team meeting and presentation

The team meeting and presentation of the team are now the reason for the competition organised by MYVELO and TOUR. We are giving away participation in the exclusive event on 28 February 2025 in the Mediathek Oberkirch. The prize is rounded off with an overnight stay for two people at the hotel s'Fässle in Oberkirch.

This is what awaits the winners:

  • Getting to know the athletes and the team personally
  • Insights into our strategies, goals and visions
  • Snacks, drinks and a relaxed atmosphere with space for dialogue and discussion
  • A look behind the scenes at MYVELO

As a student of German and political science, the flawless amateur sportsman once decided to try his luck as a journalist. His passion for racing bikes led him straight to the TOUR editorial team as an intern, which has since become an affair of the heart that has lasted more than 30 years, 16 of them as editor-in-chief. As a - in his own words - "generalist in the cycling niche", he is interested in all topics relating to road bikes (and gravel bikes) and is still particularly enthusiastic about racing today. Highlights of his own career as a racing cyclist include taking part in the TOUR-Transalp, the odd everyman race and regular Alpine tours with friends.
