Cervelo boss Gerard Vroomen has recognised where the future of frame construction is heading: When high stiffness and low weight are realised, seating comfort is a development goal. This is another reason why the further developed version of the R3 has a slimmer seat post with a diameter of 27.2 millimetres. Vroomen specifies a sporty weight of 764 grams for the frame including add-on parts at frame height 54. The frame set with fork, headset and Syntace P6 seatpost is expected to cost around 3,300 euros. In comparison with the R3, which remains unchanged, the slimmer seat post is clearly noticeable in the riding test.
