Legend from Bergamo has existed since 2009 and uses carbon, aluminium, steel and titanium, all made to measure. There is an experienced man behind the young brand: owner Marco Bertoletti has been in the business as a frame builder for almost 40 years, according to his own statement. He does not want to reveal which brands he has worked for. Instead, he lets his craft speak for itself and shows that he has extremely high standards. So much dedication has visibly gone into the Il Re that you no longer need to justify the price: meticulously smoothed weld seams, fine engravings, elaborate cable guides, carbon inlays in the dropouts. Many of the fine craftsmanship and artistic details only become apparent on closer inspection. The highly manoeuvrable bike also shines on the road with its great stiffness and comfort. Pure understatement.
