The appearance of the "Pavo" is independent and self-confident, the organic frame shape and the appealing, high-quality paintwork are visually pleasing. Technically, Simplon doesn't particularly stand out in any of the disciplines, but has put together a thoroughly successful overall package. The frame and fork appear to be the best matched. The almost race-like riding position and the rather manoeuvrable handling are responsible for the great fun factor. There are some compromises in terms of comfort, more so with the frame than with the fork. The clamping of the seat post supplied turns out to be a fiddly affair when making adjustments.

PLUSsporty geometry; agile riding behaviour

MINUS: little comfort in the saddle

*Standardised weight frame set

**Test bike frame size in bold
