With the "928 Mono-Q", manufactured in monocoque construction, the traditional Italian brand Bianchi rounds off its now impressively extensive range of carbon frames at the lower end. The most affordable model in the range with Campagnolo's new Veloce groupset costs €2,290. The test bike with Campagnolo's new Centaur groupset was immediately convincing with good handling, good riding stability and a race-like riding position. It is very direct and manoeuvrable and climbs with ease. According to the manufacturer, the frame weighs around 1,100 grams, which is slightly heavier than current top frames. The Centaur groupset with ten sprockets worked without any problems after a short adjustment. Alternatively, the "928 Mono-Q" is also available with Shimano's Ultegra and Dura-Ace equipment; the latter variant costs 3,990 euros.
