The appearance of the "Premium Classic" has sweeping lines. This is partly due to the forward-curved and extremely profiled seat stays and partly due to the ovalised top and down tubes at the rear ends. The frame geometry with a horizontal top tube is very classic, but the Belgians also have a sloping version in stock. Welded seams and paint application are evidence of skilled frame construction craftsmanship, but the paint is not very impact-resistant and can easily flake off if hit by stones. While the frame still achieves a satisfactory rating for its riding stability, the extremely laterally soft fork, a yielding bottom bracket, low frame comfort and a poor warranty weaken the overall performance.
ConclusionA rather expensive luxury racer for fans of the brand. A better fork and a better service package would enhance the overall impression.
