The appearance of the Canadian racer with its voluminous, angular down tube and chain stays in contrast to the wafer-thin seat stays has become familiar. Word has also got around that the design is functional. The manoeuvrability and racing-style cant are particularly appealing to sporty riders, and the "R3 SL" reveals the character of a real cornering speedster. The technical values of the frame are first-class without compromise, but the fork supplied tarnishes the overall impression considerably: the poor rating for the hardness of the relatively heavy 3T "Funda Team" cannot compensate for the only average lateral stiffness.
