The new sports snack from Dextro-Energy is a bar that primarily provides carbohydrates during exercise.
The 40 gram portion contains 24 grams of carbohydrates (16 grams as sugar), just under 7 grams of protein and 3 grams of fat. Soya crispies give the bar some structure and a pleasant bite. The vanilla version is not too sweet, but tastes a little indifferent; the chocolate version subjectively fulfils the flavour promise better, but shares the fate of other chocolate bars: it melts in the warmth of the jersey pocket and requires considerable dexterity to keep hands, mouth and jersey pocket clean.
The recommended retail price is €1.09 per bar.
