Tried and tested: Activ rice barPhoto: Herstellerfoto
TOUR has tried it out: Activ rice bar
Childhood memories of rice pudding with raspberries are awakened as soon as the energy rice bar from Kräuterhaus Sanct Bernhard unfolds its fruity, sugary sweetness on the tongue.

A glance at the list of ingredients reveals where this comes from: around a third of it is grape sugar and table sugar. These monosaccharides and disaccharides provide quickly available carbohydrates. As a result, blood sugar levels can rise sharply and the supply of energy can be uneven. However, for marathons, races or intensive training, where everything is burnt almost immediately, this can also be the right thing to do. In any case, the comparatively high carbohydrate content of the rice bar (71 per cent) makes it predominantly suitable for higher loads with high energy consumption. However, the 6.8 per cent palm fat content may appear critical, as it is difficult to digest and not particularly valuable from a nutritional point of view. However, it does contribute to the delicious taste and a favourable consistency. The bar is easy to chew when cold and does not melt or melt when warm.

PLUS Good handling and consistency; delicious flavour
MINUS Relatively high sugar and fat content

Price 1.50 Euro/50 gram bar
