Last autumn, we had the indoor trainer, the Truebike from Truekinetixtested. In the previous year, the smaller Smarttrainer, the Truetrainer. With both devices, it was clear that the Dutch company was entering the market. The indoor devices, especially the large and heavy Truebike, still had their teething problems. In principle, however, they seemed to be a real alternative to Tacx and Wahoo.
At the beginning of this year, we noticed that many of Truekinetix's devices were out of stock. We thought it was a good thing when a small company couldn't keep up with building the products that were in demand. Now we received a message via social media that Truekinetix was insolvent and therefore the trainer was no longer working.
Truekinetix statement on insolvency
When we enquired with Truekinetix, we received the following response from the CEO, Bas van Rens.
TrueKinetix has entered insolvency in April. No announcements have been made, except for the legally required ones. A company has acquired the ip and they are keeping the servers alive, at their cost for the moment. There is no more support available unfortunately. - Bas van Rens, CEO Truekinetx

Unfortunately, it remains to be seen what will happen next and what customers can do, as in the case of our reader. The Truekinetix company website makes no mention of the company's financial situation or support options.
