In addition to the current heart rate, the newcomer also measures the average and maximum heart rate. Upper and lower limits can be set; those who find the acoustic alarm annoying can also be alerted silently to the fact that they are currently over- or under-exerting themselves by a flashing heart rate display. Anyone doing their after-work run in the dark will be pleased with the watch's excellent illumination; at the touch of a button, the data lights up green for five seconds. The female testers particularly liked the watch's flat design and slim case. It doesn't look like a bulky piece on the wrist and therefore fits into everyday life. Like all Polar watches, the FT7 can be easily attached to a racing bike using an optional handlebar mount.
