Within the new Sprint series on Zwift will ride alongside former sprint star André Greipel over the following four segments: the LaGuardia Loop, Classique, Fan Flats and Sprinters Playground. The aim is to take the green jersey from former world-class professional rider André Greipel, who is leading the group. Riders can train their own sprinting skills, compete with an eleven-time Tour de France stage winner and add some variety to their roller training.
"I'm looking forward to sharing the virtual roads again with all kinds of people all over the world," says André Greipel. "I hope to reminisce about my career and some great victories. I'm also looking forward to passing on some tips and tricks so that everyone can get the best out of their legs! In the sprints we will of course go full throttle, but it should be a fun and entertaining race series. I'm looking forward to riding with you all."
During each 45-minute event, André Greipel will take the lead and answer questions from the Zwift community along the way. The Sprint School Series routes can be ridden in advance on Zwift. Here to register for the four events with André Greipel in the virtual world.
André Greipel is one of the most famous German professional cyclists in history, and even the most successful in terms of victories. In 17 years as a professional with some of the world's best road teams (including Lotto Soudal and HTC Columbia), the 1.84 metre tall Rostockian has achieved a total of 158 career victories. Greipel is known above all for his strength as a sprinter, which earned him the nickname "Gorilla". He has 2021 at the Münsterland Giro ended his active career.
