The strength of this collaboration lies in the combination of different technologies. GebioMized contributes its expertise in saddle pressure measurement, while Velogicfit contributes a system for automatic marker recognition in 3D. "In addition to pressure measurement, the analysis of movement patterns and quality has always been of enormous importance for our bike fitting concept," explains Daniel Schade, CEO of gebioMized. This synergy makes it possible not only to record static data, but also to analyse dynamic movement sequences during cycling.
The centrepiece of the Velogic system is a professional depth camera that captures both 3D movement data and 2D video images. This technology makes it possible to automatically track markers and thus collect precise data about the cyclist's movements. In combination with the pressure measurement data from gebioMised, a holistic picture of the interaction between rider and bike is created.
The technology is not only used in bike fitting, but also in the development of individualised saddles. One example of this is the Fizik One2One saddlein the development of which gebioMized acted as a partner. Here, pressure measurement is used to produce a customised saddle pad using 3D printing. The process begins with a pressure measurement on the rider's own saddle in various riding situations. A special app then analyses which saddle shape is most suitable.
"We are incredibly proud to be opening up new horizons together with Velogic and taking bike fitting to a new level worldwide," says Daniel Schade. The combination of pressure measurement, 3D movement analysis and individualised saddle production offers bike fitters and cyclists alike new possibilities for optimising comfort and performance.
The collaboration between gebioMized and Velogicfit goes beyond pure sales. Both companies are planning an intensive exchange of knowledge that will contribute to the further development of the entire product portfolio. Paraic McGlynn, CEO of Velogicfit, emphasises the uniqueness of this development: "It's an unprecedented time for bike fitters to have all these tools not only in one place, but synchronised and correlated to gain new insights." The collaboration between gebioMized and Velogicfit marks a significant advance in bike ergonomics. The combination of pressure measurement, 3D movement analysis and individualised saddle production opens up new possibilities for optimising the interaction between people and bicycles. This technology has the potential not only to revolutionise bike fitting, but also to have a lasting impact on the development of bicycle components. Available at selected dealers from May 2025.
