Standing at the starting line together with around 1000 racing bike enthusiasts is a lifelong goal for many. A series of webinars aims to answer questions about the legendary stage race. The free webinars are aimed at anyone who wants to find out more about this crossing of the Alps by road bike.

This time, we're moving away from the hard facts of the route in favour of stories about the event. Uwe Geissler and Jens Klötzer were invited to take part. But stories are not possible without equipment, preparation and a good team. TOUR technical editor Jens Klötzer goes into detail on precisely these topics.

The TOUR Transalp 2022 offers a maximum experience in a compact space and the opportunity to explore new territory. The starting point at Lake Reschen with a view of the sunken tower in Graun not only provides something new, but also a very special ambience. Another unknown stage of the TOUR Transalp: Castione della Presolana at the gates of Bergamo. This municipality offers the opportunity to explore a region not yet explored by the TOUR Transalp. The icing on the cake: A spectacular pass leads into this unknown area, the Passo Vivione, which is one of the Absolute route highlights in 2022 belongs. 15,860 metres in altitude and 609 kilometres lie between the starting point at Lake Reschen and the finish in Arco.
