The TOUR Transalp 2025 offers a mixture of major passes. Highlights include the Stilfserjoch and the Passo Mortirolo. The start of the stage race is on 15 June 2025 in Innsbruck.

The TOUR Transalp stage race for everyone starts in Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, on 15 June 2025. After seven tough stages, the finisher jerseys will be awarded on 21 June in Riva on Lake Garda. The absolute highlight of the 2025 edition is the Stelvio. Two new stage locations will be part of the TOUR Transalp for the first time: Pfunds and Darfo Boario Terme. The exact route data and kilometres are not yet known - fine-tuning with the local authorities is still ongoing.

TOUR Transalp 2025 route

The road to the Stilfserjoch celebrates an impressive anniversary in 2025: the road was opened exactly 200 years ago. Mastering this road is a feat of strength, but building it 200 years ago was much more than that - it was a courageous adventure by men and women. The road was finally opened in 1825. The sky is the limit, as the saying goes. But the Stelvio Pass, with its breathtaking pass height of 2757 metres above sea level, doesn't seem to want to respect this boundary. The festival of hairpin bends takes your breath away twice with 48 changes of direction: the air gets thinner and thinner "turn by turn" and the mountain world gets bigger and bigger. Between Innsbruck and Riva del Garda, the Stilfserjoch looks down proudly on the other passes of the 2025 Transalp.

The other stages don't climb as high as the Stelvio. But what lies in the way beyond that - via Imst in the Inn Valley, Pfunds in the Tyrolean Oberland, Bormio, Aprica, Darfo Boario Terme and Roncone in the Valle del Chiese - is far from being labelled as a "fallen fruit". Cycling legends are not only written in thin air, the 1852 metre shoulder height of the Passo MortiroloThe Giro d'Italia is firmly engraved in the history of the Giro d'Italia and just as firmly anchored in the history of the TOUR Transalp. Other highlights include the Kühtai in Tyrol, just outside Innsbruck. A rock star among the Alpine passes, as it is conquered by many thousands of cyclists every year during the Ötztal Cycle Marathon.

The challenge of Passo Crocedomini

The road over the Passo Crocedomini, which connects the Valcamonica with the Valle del Chiese, is a tough challenge. The secret favourite of the next TOUR Transalp is the Passo del Vivione, hidden in the hinterland of the Bergamo Alps. It leads into the quiet, almost untouched nature on the way to the tranquil Valle di Scalve. It is precisely these insider tips, the hidden, mystical passes, such as the Passo Daone in the hinterland of Lake Garda, that make the Transalp adventure a great experience.
