On Sunday, 8 May 2016, at 10 a.m., the sporting record hunt officially begins in Bayrischzell (car park at Tannerfeld). From then on, everyone can compete on a predetermined route for road bikes (9.7 km, 725 m elevation gain), mountain bikes (4.6 km, 630 m elevation gain) and mountain running (4.1 km, 630 m elevation gain). Attractive prizes await the fastest runners.
Craft invites top athletes from three disciplines to the opening. They set the first benchmark times for the 2016 season. For the Raubling-based UCI professional road cycling team Bora - Argon 18, participation in the opening event is a matter of honour. After all, it's all about defending their home training ground. Italian Cesare Benedetti will be competing for them. Andreas Hartmann from Team Craft Rocky-Mountain will be chasing records on the 4.6 km mountain bike course. And on foot, biathlete and three-time Olympic champion Michi Greis sets the first mark.
