The Schmolke Carbon Cup, a spring racing series in March in the southernmost tip of Germany, has been a highly welcome pre-season event for riders from southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland for many years. This year, there will once again be a separate race for the amateur class.

As last year, the race series will take place on four consecutive weekends in March. It starts on 8 March in Ehingen and ends after five stages on 28 March in Pfullendorf.

The race dates

08 March 2015: Mühlhausen-Ehingen, Ehingen district
14 March 2015: Moos-Weiler, Weiler district
21 March 2015: Volkertshausen
22 March 2015: Zoznegg
28 March 2015: Pfullendorf

Due to the record number of participants last year, race director Henry Rinklin (RIG Hegau) changed the start times. The junior classes will start at 13:20. After them, the men's and women's races will start in their own race at 14:20. The women, seniors and youth riders will start one minute later. The main race for the elite and juniors will start at 15:40. "By equalising the time, we take the nervousness and the associated hectic pace out of the races. This is particularly high in the first races of the season and especially for newcomers," says Rinklin.

Series participants can look forward to attractive prizes, but last-minute participants are also invited to the start of the season: Late registration is possible up to half an hour before the start of the respective race.
