There were 800 participants at the premiere - in the early 1990s there were even 12,000 at the peak. There are three routes and five possible starting points. An additional attraction of the Gold and Silver Tour is a ferry ride across Lake Constance.

The car-free cycling day around Passo Gardena and Passo Sella attracts thousands of cycling enthusiasts to the Dolomites every year. The tour around the Sella massif has an altitude difference of 1673 metres and covers 53 kilometres.
