The snow is currently driving many racing cyclists onto their bikes. Italian ultracyclist Omar di Felice definitely has no problem with the cold: he is starting a winter ride to the North Cape today.
Omar di Felice wants to conquer 1,300 kilometres by road bike in wintry conditions. He starts on 13 January at the southern end of the Lofoten Islands and aims to reach the North Cape after seven stages. This is not the first time that the Italian has travelled to the far north. In 2014, he cycled through Lapland in the middle of winter.
The ultra-cyclist has already won the Raid Provence Extreme and the Tortour Switzerland.
