The registration portal for the 2022 Rhön Cycle Marathon will open on Saturday, 19 February at 7 a.m. The 2,000 starting places will probably be allocated quickly. Registration will initially only start for the long distances - the places for the RTF routes will be allocated later.
"We expect the marathon tickets to be snapped up in no time, because after the last two years, people are keen for bigger events to finally take place again," predicts Frank Scheiber, Chairman of RSC Bimbach, in a press release issued by the club. Following the cancellation in 2020, the Rhön Cycle Marathon was only held as a "light version" last summer - fewer participants and routes, no shower and camping facilities, no exhibitors on the site.
On behalf of the club and the entire scene, Scheiber is optimistic: "We just hope that Corona will no longer have us in its grip by the beginning of June. That's why we're planning everything as normal for now".
