Bicycle manufacturer Cevélo is recalling around 5,800 Wolf SL carbon forks worldwide.

Bicycle manufacturer Cevélo is recalling around 5,800 Wolf SL carbon forks worldwide. The Wolf SL forks were manufactured by True Temper Sports in China between 11/2005 and 07/2007.

During a new test programme, Cevélo discovered that the failure rate of Wolf SL forks is higher than that of other forks. Even normal use can cause the steerer tube to break, which can result in the rider falling and sustaining serious injuries.
The recalled forks may have been installed in the following bike models: R3, R3 SL, Soloist Carbon, Soloist Carbon SL, and in certain P3 Carbon framesets and complete bikes.

Cevélo advises to immediately stop using bicycles on which an affected fork model is installed. The forks can be exchanged for a 3T Funda Pro or an Easton EC90 SLX fork free of charge at your local Cevélo dealer.

The recall only applies to the True Temper Wolf SL carbon fork. The Wolf CL and Wolf TT forks are not affected.
