On the first of June, it's that time again: you have to put together your own tour and incorporate as much gravel as possible. Last year, around 300,000 people took part in the global "Rebound" campaign on gravel bikes.

Together with "Live Slow Ride Fast" (LSRF), Shimano is inviting the global gravel community to complete a "do it yourself" gravel tour of 15, 25, 50, 100 or 200 miles (24, 40, 80, 160 or 320 km) together on 1 June. The goal is to complete a total of 10 million miles worldwide.

Rebound is the largest gravel event in the world, which coincides with the famous US gravel race "Unbound". Last year, Rebound encouraged 300,000 participants around the world to cover an impressive 4,789,142 miles (7,707,377 km).

In 2024, the partners have therefore set themselves even more ambitious targets for Rebound, namely 10,000,000 gravel miles (16,100,000 km). The participation threshold is extremely low; anyone can set off directly from their own front door.

Rebound key points:

  • Date: Saturday, 1 June 2024
  • Start time: 6:00 a.m. local time (for the real "Unbound" flair. Ultimately, however, the start time is up to each participant)
  • Self-organised and arranged 15, 25, 50, 100 or 200-mile gravel tour
  • "Mandatory" after-race party
  • No fees, no strings attached, just fun!

Community rides

In the spirit of the campaign, this year interested riders can also take part in numerous community rides organised by members of the Shimano Gravel Alliance, local Shimano Service Centres or other specialist dealers - each with a small after-ride party!

A global community

To add rebound to the global Gravel-In order to make the event a real happening and raise even more awareness of gravel biking, the creators of the event are also hoping for engagement from participants on social media.
