The last time the Munich Super Cross cyclocross race took place was in January 2023. Back then, there was a hobby race and the 69th German Championships were held. There was no cyclocross in Munich's Olympic Park in 2024, but now the legendary event is back. Bundesliga included.
In the past, the race in the Olympic Park has been well attended, depending on the weather. For spectators, the format is exciting to watch, as the participants race in circles on a short lap. For participants, it is motivating to see numerous spectators lining the route and cheering them on.
There is even more to discover around the race, an expo with various stands and a free bike cleaning station. On Sunday, there will also be the opportunity to take part in a gravel ride. If you want to, you can register for free on the Munich Super Cross website.
The hobby races take place on the first day of the two-day cyclocross spectacle. For the first time, the women will not start at the same time as the men, but will have separate races. For the men, there is a qualifying race, the Endurance Run, 45 minutes, with which men can qualify for the final, 20 minutes. The women get both: an endurance run and a sprint run. The woman who achieves the best result in both runs combined wins.
The men's winner will receive a SRAM Apex groupset. What prize the winner of the women's race can look forward to - and if any at all - remains unmentioned. But: there is a raffle for all participants, so that not only the fastest have the chance to win a prize, but everyone.

Anyone who has exhausted themselves at the Munich Super Cross on Saturday can watch the Bundesliga races on Sunday. This is also a recommendation for all other Munich residents. Experience shows that the atmosphere is great and the many spectators make the racing experience unique, as cross-country races in Germany are otherwise often rather poorly attended.
