As a long-distance ride over 300 kilometres, the Mecklenburger Seen Runde is a highlight of every racing cyclist's career. Registration for the 2025 edition starts on 1 October.

The amateur sporting event Mecklenburger Seen Runde has achieved what new cycling events are rarely granted these days: In just ten years, the long-distance ride has become a permanent fixture in the event calendar and attracted more than 4,000 participants to the anniversary tour in 2024, for example.

Marketing experts like to talk about "unique selling points" when they want to explain why products - or even an event - are successful. And "MSR" can offer a whole range of these. First and foremost, of course, is the format: The 300-kilometre route over one day and one night is a special challenge, but also promises an extraordinary experience. Added to this is the varied and natural landscape of the Mecklenburg Lake District, which can be seen as the antithesis of Alpine marathons saturated with metres in altitude.

Support during preparation

Another point that the organisers of the Mecklenburger Seen Runde emphasise is the support they provide to all participants in the form of tips and tricks for preparing and successfully completing such a long route. The route also includes an MSR-100, which is reserved exclusively for women, and a mini-MSR, which allows the youngest participants on two wheels to experience cycling and community. More than 700 volunteers help to make the Mecklenburger Seen Runde a special cycling experience for everyone.

The 11th edition of MSR 2025 will take place on 30 and 31 May, with online registration starting on 1 October at https://mecklenburger-seen-runde.de
