The countdown to the 37th edition of the international Granfondo La Fausto Coppi has begun: Registrations for the renowned cycling marathon event are now open. The starting signal was given during the Cuneo Bike Festival.
La Fausto Coppi will once again offer three routes in 2026. The Main line, the Granfondo, stretches over 172 kilometres with 4300 metres of ascent and includes three legendary climbs: the Colle Faunierathe Colle di Sampeyre and the Madonna del Colletto. Cyclists can also take on the historic Mediofondo with 111 kilometres and 2550 metres of elevation gain. The third option is the Fauniera Classic, a timed route but without a ranking. The king of the mountains on all routes remains the majestic Colle Fauniera with over 23 kilometres of ascent to the 2481 metre high summit.
Registration for La Fausto Coppi 2026 takes place via the ENDU.net platform. The participation fees are staggered: The first 500 places cost 50 euros, and the fee is 55 euros until 31 December 2025. By 31 March 2026, the price will rise to 65 euros, and from 1 April to 23 June 2026, the participation fee will be 75 euros, provided places are still available. Each participant will receive the official La Fausto Coppi jersey, which will be worn during the race as an unmistakable symbol of the event.
ASD Fausto Coppi on the road confirms its social commitment for 2026 and continues the "Solidarity Grid" project. It is offering 200 places at 120 euros each, allowing riders to start from the front and support the "Salviamo le Strade di Montagna" ("Save the Mountain Roads") project at the same time. This project is dedicated to the maintenance of the alpine roads travelled by the Granfondo.
After a record turnout in 2025 with around 2600 registered participants and 2300 starters from 42 countries, the aim for 2026 is to exceed these figures. The organisers want the event to become even more international.
From Friday 26 June 2026, with the opening ceremony in Piazza Galimberti and the distribution of starter packs, to Sunday 28 June, the day of the Granfondo, the weekend in Cuneo will be filled with events, talks and meetings on the topics of health, sport, social issues and sustainability.
