The Tour de France series L'Étape cycling races take place all over the world. Two events are being organised in Italy this year: L'Étape Piemonte and L'Étape Mondovì. They are part of the official Tour de France series for amateur cyclists. The events bring the Piedmont regionThe region, its mountains and the rich cycling tradition take centre stage. Both events are bookable and offer a special price of 30 euros in the early bird phase until 14 February. The start package includes the official L'Étape Italy jersey, catering along the route, technical support and the traditional pasta party after the race.
The first event will take place on 31 May 2026 in the Gesso Valley in the Province of Cuneo takes place. The start is in Entracque with a view of the Mediterranean. Between the Stura, Gesso and Vermenagna valleys and the town of Borgo San Dalmazzo, cyclists will find some of the climbs that have shaped international cycling history: Colle della Maddalena, Colle della Lombarda and Colle di Tenda. The event offers three different route options: A granfondo over 130 kilometres with 2,500 to 3,000 metres of ascent, a medium distance of 80 kilometres with 1,500 metres of ascent and a cycle touring route over 60 kilometres with 800 metres of ascent.

The second event is scheduled for 20 September 2026 and will start in Mondovì, also in the province of Cuneo, in collaboration with the Granfondo Alpi del Mare. After a first edition in 2025, which welcomed over two thousand participants, L'Étape Mondovì returns with routes that cross the Monregalese area. There are two route options to choose from for this event: a granfondo over 120 kilometres with an altitude difference of 2,000 metres and a touring bike route over 60 kilometres with an altitude difference of 800 metres.
